The Saudi Journal of Health and Medicine (SJHM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research in the fields of medicine, public health, nursing, allied health sciences, and community healthcare. The journal provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, and academics to share scientific advancements and practical insights addressing urgent health issues at local, regional, and global levels.

SJHM follows an open access publishing model, meaning all its content is freely available to readers without subscription fees. Articles are distributed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original work is properly cited.

All submitted articles undergo a double-blind peer review process. The journal adheres to the highest ethical standards in publishing, following the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), and has zero tolerance for plagiarism or any form of academic misconduct.

The journal charges no submission or publication fees and is self-funded, maintaining full editorial independence throughout all stages of peer review and publication. SJHM commenced publication in 2025, aiming to support evidence-based health practice and sound health policy making.

To ensure long-term preservation of scientific content, SJHM participates in the LOCKSS and CLOCKSS archiving systems to safeguard digital content and ensure future accessibility.

The journal also respects the privacy of users and authors; any personal information collected is used solely for editorial and publishing purposes and will not be shared with third parties.
